ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

BACHELOR DEGREE

For admission to CBU, the applicant must meet the eligibility criteria, mentioned below.
The minimum level of education required is class 12 with min 65.0% marks.

English Proficiency Requirements:

• IELTS overall: 6.5 (Min Listening: 6.0, Min Reading: 6.0, Min Speaking: 6.0, Min Writing: 6.0)
• PTE overall: 59
• Duolingo English Test Score: 115
• TOEFL iBT: 80

POST BACCALAUREATE DIPLOMA

Minimum Level of Education Required is a 3-Year Bachelor’s Degree with min GPA of 75.0% or above.

LETTER OF ACCEPTANCE

Once you chose your program and after submitting the application fee the university will then process towards your application and releases its offer letter within 15 working days for which the application will be 80 CAD for Bachelors & PG Programs and 88$ CAD for Masters Program. (non-refundable).

OPERATIONAL DAYS OF CLASSES

The CBU Usually works for 4 days per week. The University is closed on weekends and holidays. CBU offers 20 hours Per Week work option.

AVAILABLE INTAKES

To study at CBU one must search for the available intakes for the program you have selected, so the university mainly provides you three major intakes January 2022/May 2022/Sept 2022. For International applicants, Sept intake is most recommendable as this intake provides most of the variety of Programs.

REFUND POLICY OF CAPE BRETON UNIVERSITY

All those students wanted to apply for the refund must go through the policy of the University, Please note that 100% of a student’s deposit will be returned in the case their study visa is not granted and they were not enrolled in any courses (appropriate documentation is required from the student). To make this refund request, the student needs to provide all the requested documents to request a refund. CBU reserves the right to contact IRCC to verify the status of a visa and/or study permit application and to verify the contents of a refusal letter. The tuition fee will be refunded fully to the student whose study permit is refused. If you are applying for a refund without a visa decision or any other reason then University will charge around 1000 CAD according to your chosen program. All refunds will be done via wire transfer
