WHY ONTARIO TECH UNIVERSITY

Ontario Tech University is a nationally recognized university inviting students from all over the world, the campus of Northern Oshawa is located 10 minutes north of downtown Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, less than an hour outside of downtown Toronto. Northern Oshawa is OTU’s main campus.

OTU’s campus sets it apart as a modern and innovative university enabling many facilities to their students, Designers incorporated a number of environmentally advanced features into the buildings including green roofs, coated windows and a geothermal heating and cooling system to maintain the temperature of classrooms the students attend classes in high-tech learning facilities offering to their students including on-campus facilities of a library, a Student Life Centre, and research centers.

The OTU has a long-term vision for their students to conduct research that creates knowledge, solves problems, results in economic and social innovation, and engages students. CAMPUS LOCATION OF ONTARIO TECH UNIVERSITY

The university has two main campus operations greatly; The North campus is located at 2000 Simcoe St North and is considered the ‘main’ campus of the university. The Faculty of Business and Information Technology (FBIT), the Faculty of Energy Systems and Nuclear Science (FESNS), the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science (FEAS), the Faculty of Science (FS), the Faculty of Health Science (FHS), and the Faculty of Graduate Studies are located on the North Campus.

The Downtown campus is located in the downtown region of Oshawa, just ten minutes away from the North campus. Most of Ontario Tech’s buildings in the downtown campus have not yet been named and are instead referred to by the address at which they are located. The Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH) and the Faculty of Education (FE) are located at the downtown campus.

REFUND POLICY OF ONTARIO TECH UNIVERSITY

International students who are refused their study permit or who do not meet the conditions of their offer will receive a full refund of fees paid minus a $200 administrative fee. For refused study permits students must provide proof of the refusal (copy of Immigration document) within the first 10 days of classes.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

To get admission in any 4-year bachelor’s degree the minimum level of education required is Grade 12 with min GPA of 70.0% or more.

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENTS

  • IELTS Overall : 6.5 (Min Listening: 6.0, Min Reading: 6.0, Min Speaking: 6.0, Min Writing: 6.0)
  • PTE Overall : 58 Score
  • TOEFL iBT : 83 Score (Min Listening: 20.0, Min Reading: 20.0, Min Speaking: 19.0, Min Writing: 20.0)
  • Duolingo English Test Score : 110 Score

OPERATIONAL DAYS OF CLASSES

The Ontario tech university operates for 3 working days per week & is closed on weekends and holidays.

AVAILABLE INTAKES

To study at Ontario tech university one must search for the available intakes for the program you have selected, so they mainly provide you three intakes in January, May & Sept by which Ontario tech university remains active throughout the whole year in terms of intakes. For International applicants, Sept intake is most recommendable as this intake provides most of the variety of Programs and students also get the benefit of drop.
