University of Auckland Courses

Programs at University of Auckland are offered in over in over 420 subject areas across nine faculties, which includes 200+ undergraduate courses, 130+ postgraduate programs, and PhD in 100 subjects.

University of Auckland Campus

Spread over an area of 16 hectares, University of Auckland offers programs through seven campuses at different locations. All the campuses are well equipped with essential amenities offering students a great learning experience.

  • City Campus: Located in the centre of Auckland, it offers amenities such as cafes, health services, libraries, childcare facilities and a recreation centre.
  • Newmarket Campus: Situated close to the primary business area of Newmarket, it houses the faculties of Engineering and Science and may extend further in the future.
  • Epsom Campus: It primarily comprises of the Faculty of Education and Social Work offering foundation, UG and graduate programs for nearly 3500 students.

  • Leigh Marine Laboratory: Leigh Marine Laboratory, the ‘marine campus’ of the University of Auckland, offers research facilities to PG teaching and research at the Goat Island Marine Reserve.

University of Auckland Placements

At University of Auckland, students are offered two: one-week placements and one: three-week externship. A standard internship between six weeks and three months in length is also available at the university.

Auckland offers job opportunities in New Zealand in form of placements and internships which take place across Australia and the South Pacific. Placements run from early March to early June. Externships occur from early June through to mid July. The internship takes place over summer (sometimes referred to as a ‘summerternship’) but can be at other times of the year.
